Answer:
Hey! Sorry to hear about your anxiety. Breathing properly will control your panic.

As soon as you notice the signs of anxiety, check your breathing: breathe in slowly through your nose pushing your tummy out (to the count of 5 or so). Breathe out slowly and for a bit longer (to the count of 7 or so) through your mouth. Do not breathe rapidly or shallowly (in the chest area). This will soon restore the balance of oxygen and you will feel a lot better. Once you start practising, it鈥檒l become second nature.

Also I would really advise a course of Cognitive Behavioural therapy. CBT is proven to be the most effective thing for panic attacks. (My sister who got panic attacks because of thoughts of death was helped enormously by CBT). It takes a bit of work, but if you put the effort in it鈥檚 super effective. You can speak to your doctor about doing a course, or you can take a course for free online at: http://www.livinglifetothefull.com/elear...

I also do relaxation exercise tapes (progressive muscular relaxation). They really help if you practise often enough. This site has instructions on how to do it without the tapes (and other useful info): http://www.cci.health.wa.gov.au/resource...

I hope you start feeling better soon.
Many people have panis attacks, but that doesn't make it normal. You could have a post traumatic stress disorder. see your doc.
there is a book called "The Purpose Driven Life" by Dan Brown this a very good book to read, it will help you with this problem of yours and will help you out with other issues from your everyday life God Bless You and I will keep you in my prayers.
It is not easy to live with fear. Maybe a therapist can help you.
Hi. I do understand the mental torture and oppression caused by this spirit of fear, especially "Death".

Firstly, U need to find the root cause of this fear. Since you witnessed your grandmother's death, what was it that freaked you? Is it the physical torture? or plainly death itself, maybe questions like "what is it to be dead?" or "where would you go after you had died?"..

I guess my fear was even worst than yours...but i had overcome it...by right believing. I would say i am a believer of Jesus Christ. By believing in Him, i truly believe you would not go hell when you die...or suffer terrible disease that would lead you to death!..becoz Jesus said so in His word!

I am not here to preach to you..but this is how i overcome my fears.by right believing in the right doctrine.

But truly, when rubber meets the road..when one is faced with death, at that very moment, who is the person would be at one's mind?...I would say 80% of them would be thinking abt God!...

Fears in human beings cannot be removed by our own mere effort, it takes divine intervention.

Hope this helps.
